so pretty!! You know... from the thumbnail I thought this was a picture of a fairy... midsummer's night dream come true.. !!

wonderful catch. I love the vertical stance....like he is balancing on the perch so he can get the perfect angle on the feed tube.

Dang, Ozone, I thought he was posing for me.

Thanks, Rocky. It just takes a little patience, waiting for them to show up.

Ozone: Actually, he was feeding with his wings folded (previous photo), and when he hears the shutter, he leans back and flaps his wings. After two or three shots, he takes off.

Excellent. I spent ages trying to catch birds last week. People must have looked at me and wondered how many snapshots you need of an ordinary looking pond. I love the way the eyes are focussed on where the long beak is going to go.
